This is a great little unit, I can't imagine being without it. The infomercials aren't wrong, it really does everything they say it does. Now that I've given you the upside for owning one, it's only fair I give you the down side:



The unit is built sturdy but like anything that gets lots of use, it will wear out. If you have a family and use it often for drinks, you'll be lucky to have the motor last 3-4 months. I have had mine for nearly two years now but I have a household of two and it doesn't get used every day, maybe once a week if we're lucky.

I have owned my Magic Bullet for just over 2 years. It still has not worn out.



I workout, lift weights and body build. So I need to be able to make protein shakes, nutritious drinks, smoothies and recovery shakes 3 or 4 times a day. A blender can have more power but it is bulky and hard to clean! NOT CONVENIENT.



The Magic Bullet allows me to whip up a single serving shake within 60 seconds and clean up is as simple as running the blade and cup under the faucet. I am done within 2 minutes TOTAL !!!!!!



My one gripe is that I think the Magic Bullet should be upgraded a bit...a little more power, slightly less noise and sturdier blades.





YES...you can make smoothies. The MB will not crush ice into a fine mesh like a high end blender would but it does the job considering what you are using it for. If you serve more than 1, 2 or 3 people at a time, you will want a blender. For my girlfriend and I it was a DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! We toiled and fussed with the blender, it was always in use so it was always out in view, taking up space, etc. We each use the MB 3 or 4 times a day each....so 6 to 8 times total over a 2 year period of time. It has not broken down or worn out! I am impressed. We are getting a new one because we do feel like the old one is going to give out though in the next year and we want to have a backup....so the old one will be stored away JUST IN CASE.





I can highly recommend this product. We have even given these out as gifts for birthdays and Xmas and every single recipient has loved it! I saw it on an infomercial and bought it the next day. Normally, I do not purchase like that but this was a great solution for our lifestyle. Two 40 somethings on the go, staying fit, with a need for a simple, easy to clean blender.

The flat blade makes and excellent spice grinder. I grind and blend all my own spices and this little blender does a great job. The flat blade also works great for whipping cream and making aoile and mayonaise.



The cross blade does a great job choping nuts, making bread crumbs, grating hard cheeses and making smoothies and blended drinks.



Everything is easy to clean and use.

This machine is a waste of money! It doesn't do any of the things advertised on the infomercial. No matter what part of the machine we are using, we can't even get a minute's worth of use from the motor before the thermal protection kicks in and shuts off the motor. The manual states not to use it for longer than three minutes; however, we don't even get that! Just for the record, it took me more than 30 minutes to make the turkey meatloaf they make on the infomercial. So much for the 8 minute claim.

Item did not work. After contacting their customer support, (I received a reply after five days stating that I had seven days from the date I submitted my complaint to return it. I wanted a replacement, instead they issued a refund. And they only refunded the amount of the processor, and not the $20.00 receipe book that I shipped back with it. Not to mention they will not refund orginal S&H charges.

We bought it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. The juicer worked OK. When we tried to process come cooked meat it stopped after 1 minute. After it cooled off a little it started to work again and stopped very shortly again. The instructions say you can't use it for more 3 minutes at a time. Then you should let it cool up to 1 hour. Who in their right mind will wait for 1 hour to start using it again? Tell me how could you make a meal in 8 minutes as they advertise. Waste of money.

I bought this thinking it was a great idea. Instead of lugging out the blender and finding space in my small kitchen for it I could use this, and have meals ready in minutes (or seconds as they say in the ads). When trying to make drinks, it doesn't chop the ice, instead leaving it in smaller cubes than what I put in. Trying to shred cheese? Forget it. It just throws it around. Onions? I tried pulsing the magic bullet little by little but it didn't do anything and by the time I was done pulsing it numerous times the ones that may have somehow been cut turned to mush.



Save yourself the money. There's a reason you can buy it on TV now for a buck.

I was looking at your products after ordering a book and saw it. It was cheaper than the one I saw at Walmart even including shipping.

According to the Amazon data base, I purchased the Magic Bullet in March. It is hard to believe that I've been using this blender at least twice every day since. I have used it primarily as a "frozen" drink maker--some would call them smoothies, I call them meal replacement drinks. I have also ground coffee beans to an espresso grind; made pesto, salad dressing, and use it to mix the wet ingredients for my seitan.



What I have learned: the heavier ingredients need to go into the cup first and then the lighter ingredients, whatever they are. When making pesto, this means that the nuts go in first, followed by the cheese (especially if you are using a chunk of cheese as opposed to shredded) and then the basil. If you are using olive oil, it should actually go in last. The reason for the importance of the order is that the blade, while it is put on top of the cup, is actually the bottom of the blender. Putting the heavier ingredients into the cup first help insure smoother blending action. The only time that the heaviest item should not go in first is when it is sticky: nut butter, molasses, etc.



When I make pesto, I leave it in the cup and use the "storage" lid. I have found that it keeps very nicely for about a week.



What I do not recommend: While grinding coffee beans was successful, I was a bit concerned about the motor burning up. It may be because I was grinding the beans to an espresso grind rather than a drip--as they show on the infomercial. I also do not recommend grinding large quantities of cheese. Truthfully, it is questionable as to whether it is faster than using a box grater. I have also tried to grind medications and calcium tablets. It takes a very long time and the pills never really got powder smooth. They also stay "stuck" to the bottom of the cup when blending into a drink.



Advice: remove the gasket for cleaning. When using berries, the seeds can slip under the gasket and cause a mess. Also, when using the Magic Bullet for mixing anything with oil or fats, I recommend washing it in the dishwasher (top shelf). I had no luck cleaning the "grease" out; however when blending just about anything else, it is very easy to clean with just water and a drop of dish soap.



Yes, I will buy another if/when this one dies of over use.



Asides: for some reason, the Amazon data base has me having purchased the Bullet through them through a 3rd party vendor. I love this appliance. I have had mine for over two years and it gets used almost everyday. I have MS so my fingers are numb and shaky. I can cut large chunks but mincing is dangerous. I chop all my vegetables and herbs in this. I do still drag out the food processor to make a big pot of soup or if I have to slice potatoes, carrots etc vs chop. All chopping goes to the Magic Bullet.



I love smoothies and I have no problem blending down frozen fruit into smoothies. I use the frozen fruit and water instead of ice and juice and it works great!

I love fresh salad dressing vs bottled but it was too much work. Not anymore, now salad dressings are fast, fresh and taste so much better.

It is easy to clean and easy to use. The only drawback? Somehow my short cup and chopping blade have disappeared and I can't reorder just those pieces. This is appliance is so small that we drag it along to potlucks and to the cabin and the motor bottom comes came home but not the top. I will probably order another Magic Bullet so I have don't have to wash between chopping onions for dinner and making raspberry sauce for dessert.

I IMMEDIATELY UNPLUGGED IT AND TOOK IT OUTSIDE. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE TO DISCUSS MY DISSATISFACTION AND TO FIND OUT HOW TO RETURN THE BULLET EXPRESS AND GET A FULL REFUND. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A FULL REFUND INCLUDING $43.98 FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO ONE ELSE TO TALK TO. IN OTHER WORDS THERE IS NO ONE ABOVE THEM AND THAT THEY HAVE THE WHOLE AUTHORITY TO MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT RETURNS. THEY ONLY GAVE ME TWO OPTIONS. TO RETURN THE UNIT, LESS SHIPPING AND HANDLING OF $34.98 OR THEY WOULD SEND ME ANOTHER UNIT FREE OF CHARGE. I SAID THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND I WANT A FULL REFUND. THEY STATE THEY WANT THE CUSTOMER TO BE COMPLETELY HAPPY BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT THEY REALLY MEAN.THEY MEAN YOU CAN BUY THIS JUNK BUT THEY GET TO KEEP $34.98 ON EACH ONE RETURNED. IF THEY REALLY STOOD BEHIND THIS PRODUCT THEY WOULD HAVE NO REASON TO NOT REFUND THE TOTAL COST OF EVERYTHING!!! As far as stars go i didn't want to give any stares but i don't have that option

We purchased the Magic Bullet and Bullet Express products. BOTH products failed within three uses, the engines they use in the machines are of poor quality and in both instances they burned out. The Bullet Express failed mixing egg, water, and flour; the Magic Bullet mixing a protein drink. Extremely poor product quality.



Even worse, once you're past 30 days forget about the organization standing by their product. You're on your own once your past that window. Terrible product, terrible customer service, terrible experience. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

I bought this for my daughter...she was tickled! Looked great... still in the original box and looked unopened. I got the 21 piece set and paid less than retail suggested I pay for the 12 piece set!

I was so excited when I got this as a Christmas present. However, when I went to use it - to chop veggies, all it would do is puree the veggies - I never could find a way to make it just chop. It would work great as a blender for slushies or something like that - but isn't what an actual blender can do.

Save the trouble and buy a small food processor instead. I use that all the time and couldn't be happier.

I've seen the infomercial, and it really shouldn't be used for ALL that it "can" be used for per the TV ad. It just isn't powerful enough to do what a blender can do; silly to think it can. However, it is useful for smoothies, but smoothies without ice. It's easier than lugging out the big blender for a quick protein shake with soft fruit or yogurt. But anything more than that -- use your blender. Would I buy it again? Probably not. But am I using what I bought? Yes. Buy it inexpensively, and it is worth it. Don't be concerned with the accessories -- they're just space hogs. One blender, one container. That's all you need.

trying to sell EXTREMELY over-priced merchandise! (I have rated it 3 stars, as this is the middle rating. It would be higher if the price was lower, lower if I knew this was the actual, confiscatory price!)



P.S. On the website for the "Magic Bullet Platinum Pro", I was able to buy TWO "Magic Bullet Platinum Pro" blenders for approximately the same price as ONE REGULAR (and not as powerful!), "Magic Bullet", is being sold for here!
